It took over a year, this part of Daisy’s long weekend is FINALLY complete!
Unfortunately I can’t say if further updates will be anything approaching regular, as my desire to draw has taken some massive hits over the past few years. At the very least, I don’t want to start the next part until I know for sure that I’ll be able to finish it without anything else getting in the way.
Alice has little – if any – tolerance for her sister Lily’s nonsense…
One could argue that leaving Mercy in charge is actually more irresponsible than leaving Lily on her own…
The good news for Daisy, is her mom is likely going to be out of commission for a while.
And we’re back! And also finally starting to see hints of just how loopy Daisy’s mom can be!
That’s it for this chapter! Although there is more to tell…
To keep things simple, I have a couple of images planned where the girls ask their parents for a few more details. Candice has a more involved follow-up which could be its own wordy chapter, spread over several pages… but I’m burned out on comics at the moment, and don’t want to draw it. Not to mention, the room it would take place in, the atmosphere… I won’t be able to draw and render it the way I’m picturing it in my head, it’d be so much easier to describe… so that’s what I might do – rather than illustrating it, I may treat it as a chapter of a novel.
None can resist Violet’s cuteness!
Hey, what’ve Rose & Violet been up to, while Daisy & Candice have been sniping at each other? Let’s check in on them!
Almost two years in the making, Daisy is finally going to face off against her nemesis, Candice!
This chapter was originally planned as a direct follow-up/extension to The Dark Corner. But by the time that chapter’s last page was completed, I was too burned out to continue it for another 8-12 pages. I’d told myself that I’d get back to it after taking a break and working on other ideas, but those ideas, work, and more burn-out kept me away from it for a year and a half. Once I’d finally started it, I’d managed to get the first seven pages drawn & assembled, but work kept me from finishing them for several more months…
